Ayala Triangle Gardens Festival of Lights
Makati, Philippines - It's Christmastime, the most wonderful time of the year!
Family reunion is everywhere and the festive mood looks like contagious. Philippines has been known to have the longest Christmas celebration, not just because this is just one of the two predominantly Catholic countries (the other one is East Timor) in Asia but because Filipinos treasured family bonding.

At Christmastime, everyone loves to spend the day with closest friends and family and chill somewhere else after sharing Noche Buena on Christmas eve. Usually the destination is either in a shopping mall, theater, restaurant or park.
However, if you are looking something cool comes night time, you can try the Christmas ornament displays that had mushroomed in the metropolis at the start of the season.
Stunning displays of Christmas lights at Ayala Triangle, Makati City
The gorgeous bulbs flicker under different colors during the show
One of the most popular destinations in Metro Manila during Christmas season due to its enchanting Festival of Lights is Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati city. The establishment had installed almost 800,000 LED bulbs that flicker and dance in synchronization with Christmas medleys.
I've visited this gorgeous Christmas lights destination last Sunday, December 21, at 6:30 PM and as always, expressed amusement on the stunning displays of Christmas lights.
This Festival of Lights show runs for five minutes with a 30-minute interval from 6:00PM to 10:00PM until January 4, 2015. This is totally free and strategically located with in the business district of Makati.
Getting there is pretty easy. Just consider Rustan as your landmark. From EDSA, take MRT and alight at Ayala station, walk through SM Ayala and proceed to Rustan, turn left, you will see a Mercury drugstore across the street, walk straight ahead and turn left again, Ayala Triangle is just within the area. Nearest landmark is the Stock Exchange building.
If you opt to ride a bus from EDSA, take an Ayala-bound route then drop off at the unloading stop near Paseo de Roxas, take the subway/tunnel pass to reach Ayala Gardens.
Merry Christmas everyone!
